European & Greek Influences

When I moved to Greece in the 1980s, the vibrant blues of the Mediterranean and the weight of European history began to shape my canvas. My paintings reflect a tension between shelter and upheaval, personal life and political unrest, as I absorbed both the beauty of Greek mythology and the anxieties of war and displacement in the Middle East. These works are layered with influences — from Renaissance masters to contemporary struggles — weaving movement, mythology, and memory.
